I really love how you managed to use the amnesia plot device in such a manner that wouldn't be detrimental to the characters... Hum. I can't wait to read more

okay, I had a whole long entry here about loving your characterizations, which were unique and facinating, and which you showed great skill in describing with only a few words (ditto for mood, motivation, etc.) but I didn't check carefully after hitting add, and only realized it didn't go through after reviewing another of your stories. See, I didn't put in an email, because I get WAAAAAYYY too much junk main as is, and am a very private person besides. So I've created a fake email--sorry, but you might want to change that. If the fake email hadn't worked, I would have just not left reviews (there are a number of other authors I've been forced to do that to), and I'd really rather be a polite reader.
Sorry, but thanks for the wonderful story.Subaru (11th March, 2008 @ 6:45 pm)
Just one question: when are you gonna continue this? Because I enjoyed "A Long Hard Road" very much, I was equally happy upon discovering your...sequel of sort. *g* (Yeah, I really DO know that ALHR is not your work!)

I only just found out that you had a chapter beyond the general about ten minutes ago. I was so incredibly happy! I thought for sure that you had just given up on the fic. So I speedily relished it.
Then I found out you discontinued it on the semi-cliffhanger, and my poor heart broke.
Honestly, this story is one of the very best Final Fantasy VII fics I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Despite what you say, it's not cliche at all and I absolutely enjoyed the original twists and turns in the plot and the gorgeous characterization of all the characters. It's wonderful writing and to be honest I'm a bit upset it's not being continued.
However, I have to say thank you for bringing it into fruition in the first place. Thank you, really.

No thank you for enjoying it.
I'm sorry that I've left it incomplete (I know how annoying it is when authors do that), but unfortunately I just don't have the fandom drive to complete it any more. I kinda wish I did; I want to know what happens, too!

Great story. I enjoyed it a lot. I hesitate to state the obvious but it's really a shame that you're not continuing it.

Shame that you won't be continuing this. I thought it was a great story. I really enjoyed the flashbacks that you interspersed between current events and the characterizations of both Cloud and Sephiroth. Anyway, it's not often I found such a well written Seph/Cloud story and just wanted to let you know that what you have written was very much enjoyed.

Yep. This is good. Get on with the story.

Uh... yeah. How about you please learn to read. This story is discontinued; there is no more of it. Whinging about it won't change that fact.IdesofMay (24th April, 2007 @ 12:00 am)
Hey - aside from the title, this is actually pretty awesome. It's hard to tell with just three chapters, but I think you're doing a nice job of building tension while still having enough happening to keep interest. I also like that your portrayals of different characters POV, especially Michibo (though I may be misremembering his name) are actually DIFFERENT. I see that it was last updated in 2005. You got distracted by AC? Selfishly I wish you'd update again, because I'd like to read more, but whatever. Oh! And one last thing - though AC is awesome, I REALLY like Post-game Cloud NOT wallowing in misery.

Before the chapter entitled "The General", you pondered as to whether or not Sephiroth had a tattoo. He indeed does have one,
in fact the number 1, on his hand (which I have always assumed would be his right considering he is left handed). In the FFVII game you find this fact out if you're a player like me who has to collect all the items and talk to everyone you encounter. I learned the tattoo tidbit by speaking to a man on the interiors of the Gold Saucer. Ah, the sh*t you can learn when you have no life outside of the spectacular General S.
Not quite finished the fic yet, but it's an interesting read so
far. Liked when the ground shook as Sephiroth looked upon it.
Made me sigh with contentment. Appropriate indeed. Now, onward to the story's ultimate conclusion... Later.PsychoWing (6th March, 2007 @ 12:00 am)
Kick ** interesting.
