I really, really, really hope you have plans to continue this story, because the first three chapters are _awesome_. I love both your Bruce voice and your Clark voice, and you've got my brain going in all these incredibly fun directions imagining how Bruce will go about building their friendship and seeing them get to know each other and...and...I want to know what happens! I laughed out loud at a few lines, which doesn't happen often with me in fic, and I loved the moments designed to let the reader grin knowingly. *grins*

Bruce Wayne was going to have to befriend Clark Kent.
Oh noes! The sacrifices he makes! Though of course your Bruce manages to actually make it sound like rather a sacifice to pragmatism, which is always about the best way to have Bruce approach befriending Clark.
The last couple of paragraphs made me both squee and mist up a bit. Beautiful. *sighs*

Except there was that little voice again, the one that always held out hope that everybody was decent, underneath, somewhere.
Not sure how to apply that to Bruce Wayne.
Love this. It also reminds me of that bit at the end of Kill Bill II where Bill describes Clark Kent as being Superman's critique of humanity. That goes for Bruce too, though I'm sure Batman hates Bruce more than Superman hates Clark... I'm really interested to see where this is going. In the last part I wondered if Clark knew who Bruce was already and was trying to tell him - him being a step behind is fun to watch.
Series title? Something about costume parties?

I will take identity porn! Identity porn with an extra helping of a Clark I want to pat and promise everything will be okay somehow is the best kind.
Bruce Wayne was either the stupidest man on the planet or the most devious, and the puzzle was going to drive him crazy.
I just so adore those moments where the reader can nod sagely and murmur, "More than you know, Clark. More than you know." *grin* But aw, he sounds so tired... *pats gingerly*

Heh, yeah I think poor Clark is feeling fairly hemmed in right now. But you know it's okay, because it's all going to end in buttsecks, so just hold in there Clark; the fun will start in a few chapters, promise.
